Intr Studio Pty Ltd is a full-stack APP & game development company and game production service provider, bringing exciting new ideas to PC, console, VR and MR, pushing the boundaries of interactive storytelling and digital entertainment through embracing emerging technologies.

Founded in 2020, Intr started as an experiental digital agency working mainly with marketing agencies and start-ups. It didn't take long before Intr grew into a leading studio for Games, AR, and VR productions, serving clients globally. With the June 2023 acquisition of the veteran Indie studio Homegrown Games, known for their work on Painkiller, Realms of Arkania and Medieval Dynasty, Intr Studio is set up to concept, design, develop and produce across all genres and platforms.

Featuring development know-how in Unity, Unreal, and proprietary engines, a proven production track record from PC over mobile to consoles, an own motion capture studio, own audio production facilities, and subject matter expertise in the VR / MR space, Intr is currently developing and producing across multiple projects, both own IP and work-for-hire commissioned by national and international players in the games industry.

Caitlin Lomax - Managing & Technical Director

Caitlin Lomax, founder and Director of Intr Studio, gained a national and international reputation for her work in the VR and AR space before focussing on games for all platforms, genres, and audiences .

As Senior Producer on 'Moving Out 2' for SMG Studio, Caitlin won the 2023 ADGAs Excellence in Gameplay Award as well as the ADGAs 2023 Empower Award for contributions to the Western Australian Games industry, organising WA Games Week and her initial development of Screenwest's funding programs.
She supports the local game industry as Chair of the WA Games Industry Council, a board member of Immerse Australia, and a Level Her Up! committee member. Additionally, she conducts XR workshops for General Assembly & RMIT and is a frequent speaker at tech events.
Her role as Technical Producer on 'Lustration VR' for New Canvas, commissioned by Facebook Reality Lab, gained recognition, featuring on Meta TV, SXSW, and the “best of” Immersive at Venice La Biennale festival, besides creating Shell’s VR Pitstop simulation, winning a silver AEAF Award.

A profound technical background in current and emerging technologies, a deep understanding of industry and education applications, advertising requirements, and the world of video game development is reflected in all her work.

Ivan Ertlov - Creative & Production Director

Ivan Ertlov, a Czech-born Austrian citizen with permanent residency in Australia, joined Intr Studio as Production Director during the acquisition of his company Homegrown Games (founded 2005 in Austria) by Intr Studio.

Holding degrees in Engineering, Psychology and Information Technology, Ivan pioneered cross-discipline thinking and scientific foundations in video game development since the early 2000s. As of 2024, Ivan has worked in the games industry for more than two decades, holding writing, design, development, producing, and publishing roles on more than 100 indie, mid-tier and AAA titles for all major platforms. Having worked on games like Gothic 3, SpellForce 2, Agatha Christie, Painkiller, Anno and Hitman, Ivan won more than 25 Game of the Year awards throughout his career, both in employed positions and through titles developed and/or published by Homegrown Games.

Having written more than 50 published novels and winning several German and International book awards, Ivan enriches his production, design and technical experience with a strong narrative focus benefitting both games and applications developed for our clients, while infusing Intr's own game projects with a unique and outstanding narrative approach.
